Two products, one town, forty years of not changing either one.
BioTech International has made two things since 1986: a rapid biological tester and a non-biocidal coolant stabilizer, both built out of Needville, Texas. It has not added a third product line and it has not moved. Customers are running both today in roughly twenty countries, which is either a very long sales cycle or a sign the two products were built right the first time.
Neither product is a commodity. The tester reads how active a biological population is in a fluid or a solid sample, in fifteen minutes, without a lab. The stabilizer keeps that population from reproducing at all, without killing it. Both ideas are unusual enough that most of what BioTech sells is the explanation, not just the instrument.
An ingredient supplier as much as a direct one.
Most of what BioTech ships goes straight to a machine shop or a plant. Some of it does not go anywhere visible at all: many fluid manufacturers build Mark II Stabilizer directly into their own formulations, so the shop running that fluid never orders a drum of stabilizer separately. BioTech is the OEM ingredient behind a coolant that never carries its name.
That arrangement only works if the additive performs the same way inside somebody else’s formula as it does added at the tank. Forty years of fluid manufacturers continuing to build it in is the only proof of that worth stating, so that is the proof stated here.
The tester travels the same way, well beyond a machine shop sump: cooling tower water, aluminum can plant coolants, soil under bioremediation, activated sludge in waste treatment, first-responder field samples, paper mills, fuels, foods, paints, and adhesives all use the same fifteen-minute reading. Where else it gets used.
The part that has not changed either

That is BioTech’s own line, and it has stayed on the site through forty years of everyone else’s phone trees. A shop calling about a sump that has gone wrong is not looking for a menu of options. It is describing a problem, and a person who understands the fluid and the instrument is the one who should hear it first.
What BioTech will tell you it cannot do
A company that publishes its own margin of error is telling you how it works.
Published precision, biochemical activity testing against growth-plate colony counts. BioTech is careful to say these are two different measurements that may or may not correlate in a given system, rather than claim one replaces the other. That is a harder sentence to put on a data sheet than a marketing claim, and it is the one they publish.
The same honesty runs through what BioTech does not sell. It does not sell coolant, and it keeps a database of fluid brands and features instead, so its advice on which fluid suits a given shop is not steering anyone toward its own product. It does not make skimmers either. Where tramp oil removal needs one, BioTech says so and points a customer at somebody else’s equipment rather than pretend a filter does that job.
Both refusals cost BioTech a sale it could plausibly make. Both are also the reason its advice on fluids and oil removal is worth having in the first place. How the full program fits together.

Forty years in Needville has not changed what BioTech makes or how you reach it. Describe the fluid and what it is doing, and a person who has heard it before will tell you honestly whether it is a testing question, a stabilizer question, or something they do not make at all.
