Zero Waste is not a product you buy once. It is testing, filtering, removing tramp oil, and using the non-biocidal Stabilizer, run together as one program instead of four separate decisions made at four separate times. It works with virtually any coolant in use today, because BioTech does not sell coolant and never has. The company keeps a database of coolant brands and their features, and will tell you plainly which fluids are better than others when you ask, then builds the program around whatever is already in your tanks.

Built around what you already buy
We advise on your fluid because we have nothing riding on which one you pick.
BioTech makes the tester and the stabilizer. It does not make or resell a single coolant, so its opinion on which fluid suits your shop is not tied to a margin.
What the full program has bought some customers. Not every shop, and not every sump, but a real figure from real accounts rather than a marketing round number.
Filtering targets solid particles, the dirt and fine metal that drastically reduce coolant effectiveness and give microbes somewhere to live and reproduce. Each customer gets a filter matched to their own filtration need rather than one size sold to everyone.
The part we can't fix ourselves
Our filters do not remove tramp oil entirely, and we will say so before you buy.
Getting tramp oil off the top of a sump means skimming, and skimming means access to the top of that sump. A great many freestanding machines and self-contained reservoirs are built in a way that limits or removes that access entirely, and no filter reaches around a geometry problem like that.
BioTech does not make skimmers. Where a customer's setup genuinely needs one, we will evaluate the configuration and recommend an appropriate piece of equipment from another manufacturer, rather than sell a filter and let the tramp oil problem sit unaddressed. It is a limit worth stating plainly, because a program that quietly ignored it would be worth less than one that names it.
The fourth part of the program is the Mark II Stabilizer, which holds down what the filter and the skimmer cannot reach on their own: the microbial growth already living in the fluid.
